What is Naturopathic medicine? About licensed Naturopathic education –
Using natural medicine is more than just substituting St. John’s Wort for Prozac. Used properly, Naturopathic medicine supports your whole body to achieve and maintain health. There are many different treatment options. The key is understanding how to use these methods in a way that supports you in the most effective manner.
Natural medicine recognizes that we need individualized treatment, as our health status is influenced by many different factors. Dr. Caradonna’s use of Iridology as an assessment tool helps accomplish this. One of the goals of Naturopathic medicine is to correct the underlying cause of the symptoms, not to suppress them.
A licensed Naturopathic Doctor is trained as a general practice physician, at the same level as a Medical Doctor, and completes a similar licensing procedure. Because of this, an ND can be your primary care physician, and routinely interfaces with MDs in co-managing treatment when necessary. This offers the best of both worlds. In Washington State, NDs are often covered by health insurance, increasing the accessibility of this approach, and providing cost- effective treatment.
What is Homeopathy?
Most often, symptoms or illness are a result of imbalances in both physical and emotional aspects of your body. Homeopathic preparations are administered in minute doses to elicit your body’s healing response, rather than simply suppressing symptoms. This means your systems are restored to homeostasis – their natural state of healthy balance. This can create deep and long lasting healing. Did you know that the Queen of England’s chief Physician is a homeopath? Co-Management of Prescription medications and Natural Medicines -
Often,
patients seek out Naturopathic medicine after having been given prescription
medicine. Because of his background as a pharmacist, Dr. Caradonna can treat you
while having a greater understanding of the actions and effects of your
prescription drugs. Also, there can be Rx drug and natural medicine
interactions, which must be knowledgably considered. Dr. Caradonna taught
Western Pharmacology for several years at both Bastyr University and at the
Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Seattle.
What is Iridology?
Iridology is the study of the iris, or colored part of the eye. Its overall appearance, plus specific structure and pigment details reveal an incredible amount of information about you. Like our faces or fingerprints, no two irises are exactly alike, and neither are our bodies. Each of us has different strengths and weaknesses, reactive patterns, health risks, and even personality traits. Our bodies reflect these inherited traits in many ways. The iris is one of the keys that unlock the door to this information.
The Iris acts as our personal blueprint. In an Iris Analysis, Dr. Caradonna interprets the iris patterns as they relate to you and your body, and then applies that information to help your overall well being. By understanding this blueprint of our individual characteristics, your present & future health care can be approached more efficiently.
If you have current health challenges, Iris Analysis can target contributing factors to these problems. Once identified, corrective measures can be employed, providing you with an opportunity to get better faster. Because the iris can also help reveal the potential for future health risks, preventive measures can be applied to reduce these risks. Children can especially benefit, since so much of their lives are still ahead of them.
Dr. Caradonna is Co-Founder, past-President, and current research director of the International Iridology Practitioners Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising the awareness, education and standards of this practice. He has devoted over 20 years to these goals.
